We are seeking an experienced Roving Crew Maintenance Technician who will rotate from property to property based on the needs of our portfolio.  This candidate will start each day from their home and travel between Massachusetts; New Hampshire and Rhode Island; with limited trips to Maine and New York, as well as additional rare opportunities to assist our Mid Atlantic portfolio in Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.  The Roving Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the physical integrity of our communities.   The Roving Maintenance Technician will work with the site Maintenance staff and indirectly work for the supervisor on the site with what is needed for the day to day operations. This can consist of turning vacant units, handling service requests from residents and special projects. Following through on completion of these work requests; communicating with residents regarding problem work requests and making the necessary arrangements to resolve the problems.

Daily activities would include:

  • Recognizing potential problems and taking appropriate action
  • Performing duties such as installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining our facilities.
  • Work orders (Service requests)
  • Traveling to different sites in the portfolio day to day
  • Operating within OSHA standards and company safety Policies and Procedures

The Maintenance Technician is eligible to take advantage of educational offerings that are available to ensure continued growth professionally:

  • Dolben University
  • NAA Designations, such as CAMT; CPO; OSHA; and others

To perform the job successfully, this individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Qualified candidates must have 2-3 years of related experience/training, as well as a High School Diploma; or general education degree.  The successful candidate will have knowledge of and the ability to perform hands-on general maintenance work in appliance/equipment repair, minor electrical repair, plumbing, painting and basic carpentry.  HVAC certification is a plus.  Reliable transportation is a must.  And must be willing to drive great lengths at times, to reach the site locations, depending upon the requested assignment for that particular day.
